A quarter auction is a part raffle, part auction, part fundraiser, and a direct sales party. Vendors will be set up with items for sale, and will contribute items for auction.
Participants in the quarter auction will purchase a paddle with a number on it, which is a bidding number. More than one paddle may be purchased, but need at least one to bid. All of the paddle numbers are put into one drawing bin.
All bidding is made using quarters. Please bring quarters, or we will have a limited supply of quarters to exchange for cash.
When the auction begins, the announcer will hold up one item at a time. If you're interested in the item, you can "bid" by holding up your paddle. Each bidder will put a quarter (or 2, 3, or 4 depending on what the auctioneer instructs for the value of the item) into a bucket for each bidding number. The announcer will then draw a number and announce the winner.
If the number belongs to someone who bid, they just won the item. If it belongs to someone who did not bid, they will draw again until a winner is selected.
A large variety of raffles and items are available throughout the evening, and the announcer helps to guide and direct the participants.
The money raised from selling paddles, 50/50 tickets, raffle tickets, and the vendor applications will benefit the Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, which uses donations to purchase much needed equipment for Perry Memorial Hospital and to award scholarships to local students pursuing careers in healthcare.
Quarters raised from bidding on each item will be returned to the vendor that supplied the item.
Area vendors will be set up at the event, and will contribute items for the auction, for the raffle, and to be sold directly from their tables.
Paddles can be purchased at the door on the day of the event. Paddles are $3 each, 2 for $5, or buy FOUR and get one FREE.
Limited Golden Paddles will be available for $25 each. These paddle numbers are entered into the drawing for every auction item, without needing any quarters to bid.
The Quarter Auction will also feature "mystery bags" for purchase, baked goods, and a 50/50 raffle. Food will be available for purchase from Alexander's Park Tavern. Beverages will be available for purchase from the Downtown Pub

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Auction starts at 6:00 p.m.
The event will be held at the Downtown Pub Event Center on South Main St in Princeton.

We would love to have you! Make sure to apply no later than Monday, October 7.
Each vendor is provided an 8 foot long table and 1 chair. Set up for vendors will begin at 4:00 p.m.
There is a $20 fee per vendor, due with the application. Each vendor is also expected to contribute 1 raffle item ($10 value or more) and 2 auction items ($15 value or more). Any money raised from bidding on each item will be given to the vendor that supplied the item.
