Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has gathered over 100 recipes of Auxiliary members, Perry employee’s favorite family recipes for a unique commemorative cookbook honoring Perry and the 100th Anniversary, June 17, 2020.
Leanne Dean, Director of Acute Services, submitted family recipes rich in Portuguese heritage. Leanne shared, "My mother died when I was young. The recipes I submitted brought back memories of my mother at the stove, stirring her soups or baking her casseroles." Her aunts and uncles continue to cook the family recipes today, and Leanne hopes you will, too. Some will make your mouth water.
Fifty years or so ago, the Perry Auxiliary members devoted "free" time they had to help their hometown hospital. Not only did members raise monies to buy equipment, and mended clothing, canned foods. They delivered magazines to our patients, to name just a few auxiliary contributions through the years. The Perry Memorial Hospital 100th anniversary cookbook will be a keepsake for generations to come created from the heart of Auxiliary members and your Perry healthcare team.
