The Perry Memorial Hospital Foundation has donated $78,000 to complete the purchase of four new surgery scopes. These scopes will assist providers with treating urological problems within Perry's own surgical facilities.
The purchases includes two ureteroscopes, which are used for outpatient procedures to remove kidney stones from the ureter. It also includes two cystoscopes, which are used to insert a camera to view inside of the bladder.
Since 1991, the Perry Memorial Hospital Foundation has raised money to support improving the experiences Perry has to offer patients. Over the past five years, the Foundation has contributed more than $300,000 towards major renovations and equipment purchases thanks to the generosity of the community.
