Congratulations to Doris Madsen, who has been selected as the April Employee of the Month!
Doris has served as a cook in the Food and Nutrition Services Department for more than 11 years. “I truly enjoy working with a great team in providing the best nutritious meals for both patients and staff. ”
Doris was selected as Employee of the Month based on a Shout Out submitted on the Perry Proud program. Doris was recognized for taking action after delivering food to a patient room. She noticed something was not quite right with a patient. The Shout Out read, ”You saved a life with your quick thinking! Thank you for being observant when something was wrong. Thank you for taking action and notifying nursing immediately. Your actions that day saved a life!”
“Each day at Perry is a great day with many challenging tasks,” Doris explained. “but always in the end we accomplish what we set out to do.” When Doris is not working, she spends time with her husband of 35 years, her five children, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two four-legged babies. She also enjoys making nice treats to share with others (including her coworkers, who are very grateful!).
Doris, thank you for exemplifying the Perry Way and being a role model for the Perry team!
